..i'm certainly going to invest in more bumgenius nappies! by Rebecca, Anglesea, 03/06/2009
The bumgenius One-Size nappies are so handy and convenient, anyone can use them!! I have found the new improvements from version 2 to version 3, fantastic. No longer are my son's clothes getting wet from the top of the nappy folding down as he moved around, thanks to the PUL continuing at the top of the inside of the nappy. There is also plenty of width in the nappy, catering for all baby tummy shapes and sizes. I use a flushable nappy liner with mine which makes dealing with poo so much easier and way better for the environment as opposed to disposables and the poo going into landfill.
With my second child on the way, I'm certainly going to invest in more Bumgenius nappies, seeing as I'll have two kids under 17 months in nappies!! Lucky they are so easy to care for - no soaking for hours, just throw them in the machine and hang them out to dry! As the inserts take a little longer to dry than the nappy, I purchased some extra inserts and these come in handy, particularly during Winter.
..first class for ease of use, great looks and price... by Sarah, 02/05/2009
These One-Size pocket nappies are first class for ease of use, great looks and price.
A set of snaps across the front and wide aplix closure enables them to be used on an average sized newborn right through to toilet training. The rise can be altered to three different heights and the waist adjusts to easily fit up to 55cm. Although it can be reduced down to under 30cm, babies this size will find the waist too bulky.
The thirsty microfiber soaker has snaps to adjust the length to fit the nappy when reduced in the rise, plus there is a smaller soaker available especially for littlies. It is great used with the longer soaker on bigger babies to lengthen wear time. As with any pocket nappy leaks can occur at the leg line when a change is overdue. There is plenty of room though to add extra stuffing.
Made of a durable PUL soft-touch cover and beautifully soft stay-dry microfleece inner, this nappy is quite trim and has fully covered elastic at the leg & waist to improve fit. There are also wash tabs for preserving the aplix.
Available in a range of colours, you will love this pocket nappy for ease of use. So convenient when out and about, it is Dad, Granny and day-care proof to use and excellent value as it’s size is so adjustable.
...easier and more effective... by Angela, Manly Vale, 02/05/2009
What's Great:
I use a mix of nappies and find the bumgenius 3.0's to be my favourite choice, especially for when we're out and about. These nappies are fast drying, provide a stay dry feel against bub's skin and provide a great fit with the stretchy tabs. The are also trimmer under clothes than some of our other nappies. The expanding size means there's no need to buy multiple sets of nappies as baby grows, so good value for money. Never mind "as easy to use as a disposable", I find these nappies to be easier and more effective, especially with containment issues!
What's Not so Great:
My baby is extremely sensitive to poo (we change immediately after a poo, but her bottom still goes bright red) and the only thing that seems to soothe her bottom is zinc and castor oil cream, which means a biodegradable liner needs to be used when the cream is in use. On the whole, a small inconvenience!
no leakage or blowouts! by Jessica, Northcote, 01/23/2009
Modern, colourful, easy to put on, holds moisture well.
...we want more colours!! by Sonya, 01/23/2009
Very convenient, works well even at night, pity that there are not more colours or different patterns-I think this nappy will be the main type in my collection.
...my husband loves them too! by Leonie, 01/14/2009
I love these nappies, it has made using cloth a breeze.
I love that they draw the moisture away to keep the baby dry, they are really easy to use-no different to disposables, even my husband loves them!
They look fantastic, and the fact that they grow with baby means I will save so much.
I find they contain poos a lot btter and are very quick and easy to wash anad dry.
Perhaps the only downside for me is that they are bulkier than disposables, but I guess they need to be to be as absorbent as they are.
I’m sure if more people knew about modern cloth nappies like these they would be using them.
..attractive and well designed... by Melissa, Brisbane, 12/03/2008
An attractive, well designed, easy to use pocket nappy that has a very good absorbent microfibre insert and comes in a few lovely colours
bright, colourful and well-designed by Marianne, 11/27/2008
I like that it washed up so well, that it is very easy to put on baby (no folding or messing about), that it bright and colourful and well-designed. Putting the inserts in is a tad time-consuming, but nothing compared to folding cloth nappies!
